What gives me the impression that this job annoyed you? :D

:o I think Rimmer Bros. prices are a running joke with Rover/MG/ARG, etc. enthusiasts. Ridiculous.

The window regulator bodge looks like the kind of job I do. :D
I'm attempting a head gasket change on a VW TDI now, oil and coolant geyser predicted...

Sounds REVOLTING, though at least Octavia = better access than MPV shit (you don't want to know how long it took me just to change the alternator)

I've got the top of the engine stripped down now, just have to wait for Ian Seppo to send his cheap tensioner tool and it'll be good to remove. :)

I wouldn't have attempted the job on a PSA car, because the engines are canted right back, everything on the bulkhead side is buried; the VAG engine is nice and upright, it's all easily accessible with normal tools. :)

Funnily enough, modern italian rubbish is excitingly accessible by the looks of things. Not only in comparison to silly mid-engined brit-roadster, but in comparison to EVERYTHING I've ever worked on other than the herald/spits. Not that I can be arsed to do owt with it, but still. There appears to be room from all sides! Tiny engine best. :D

Rimmers are hilarious. Bastards.
