I can't get to sleep so here's a thread! You are benefiting* from my insomnia.

Met some brown forum members at this meet, an interesting mix of cars.

These have been for sale for ages.

I bought my Skoda Octavia off the owner of this, some bits of a Reliant Kitten shell with a Rover V8 and Jaguar suspension.

Utterly hanging Subaru 1800. Off the road since 1987!
I was a passenger in my friend's car, spotted it in the distance and made him stop while I hiked up to inspect it. Mentalist.

Beautiful, I particularly liked the wheel chocks.
Should have taken the photos earlier, because the car park was empty but for the Facel Vega.

Facel takes me back a few years ! A customer where I worked had one of these coupes for his wife, and a HK500 saloon for himself, and I got to actually DRIVE THEM. It was about 1969 and you just don't forget things like that.

The Facel is a great thing to spot out in the wild. 8-)

The roof rack on the Subaru might net more pounds than the rest of the scrap metal around it.

Only driven in city traffic so no chance to really try them out ! My regular drives were 3 RR,s A Bentley and best of all for a 19 year old, a Caddy convertible - White with red leather. One of my memorable drives was a Corvair Monza 4 door saloon, I remember being very impressed by that.

What was your job start? That sounds excellent!

I think I could restore the Subaru by taking all of the good* bits off it and gluing them on to a sound donor car. /satire

Car park and storage. If you had the money, we took you into the city to work / play and picked up later, in a clean and fully serviced car. Some used us every day. Much expensive machinery was always about. And some junk. Chev owner to me " watch the brakes, not too good ". Me after crashing into the closest wall " you didn't say it had no brakes" The brakes had to be pumped quickly as the master cyl. was gone, but was good enough for the owner to drive.

Top spotting of the Facel Vega, we saw it on our way back south from Sutherland on the A9 on Monday around Dalwhinnie. There had been a Suneam Talbot about a minute before we saw this, but my mate didn't have the camera fired up in time to take photos of either.
