A small report from a small event.

There had been some thought of a family outing to Gaydon today for the BMC show there. There was little expectation of any decent autojumble there though, which was what I was really hoping for and it would have been a £50 day out before spending any money on anything other than fuel and entry. So we decided to sack that idea off and I found a small autojumble/classic gathering to go to on my own much closer to home, at Bovingdon Airfield near Hemel Hempstead. There was a reasonable gathering of interesting old vehicles and I managed to spend a little cash on some dirty old car parts and tools.

I rarely get interested in old Fords but this Mexico had a good look about it, like it had always been in regular use and never OSF OTT restored YKT. Good looking wheels and decent sized rubber too.

Pretty sure I've seen this chopped PV at Gaydon (coincidentaly) once before.

Now here's an example of the perfect vehicle for the man about town in the early 60s.

Things like this Escort van kept rolling up and appearing as if by magic.

The car park was nearly indistinguishable from the 'show'

And , because I'm like that, I grabbed a shot of my weapon against the pretty field backdrop.

Not Always Auto

Nice assortment. I've been getting to one or two different local-ish events and seeing things that were new to me.
