No foreign travels for us this year, just a week or so in the peaks. Here's some of it.
It always even feels exciting to be at the service stations abroad. Less so at Leicester Forest East.
Museum of Childhood at the 17th century Sudbury house.
I like the fact that the space warriors of the '50s future used '58 Fords to chase after the aliens/cosmonauts.
This is more like it.
Crich Tram Museum. Having driven up to it along some very steep and winding roads I realised why it is called that. 'Crich! - its up there?!'
Drive there in an old car on a quiet day and you can get to park it in the museum street itself.
Which way Blackpool?

Its you isn't it.

This was Camp_Seth.
Local town Ashbourne had a couple of time warp shop fronts. There was also a traditional looking antiques shop until you realised there were loads of 50s/60s British bikes parked inside.
We went cycling. No crashes or 'DISCO CYCLE PARTY'
Camaro or Firebird had wedding ribbons attached.
Matlock was a flippin' depressing place. Absolutely stuck in about 1964. Good traffic though.
We were not the only non modern Diesel on the campsite for several days.
SS Jag or replica?
AUNTIE
Had reason to take a trip to Manchester on the Sunday. Saw a Beetle.
Parked in cinema car park. When we came back wondered if BIG MUJ had taken a similar photo. Probably not.
Wondered why someone might be chucking nuts and bolts of the top of a natural cliff/cave face.
This would be a lovely '30s village scene if that modern car hadn't been in the way.
Most annoying spot of the holiday was this Golf. ANnoying because two days before there'd been a Renault 12 Estate there too. Looking on Google I think the owner is a serial chod-botherer.
On the last day we happened across a proper garage.
Old stuff in the window for sale.
And some proper old stuff inside mostly covered up and there was a very interesting vintage sports/race car under a cover.
This might have been the gaffer just taking a B out for test run and the other bloke didn't seem to want to chat.
Top o th hills.
End.
