Micellaneous Good Photographs (Take 2)

Postby Barrett » Wed May 23, 2012 6:12 pm

I think we need another one of these threads here. A receptacle for interesting photographs that otherwise don't have anywhere to live and don't warrant a thread of their own, with discussion as appropriate.

Let's start with this nice Spanish (Portuguese?) Sherpa. quite an idyllic scene I'm sure you agree.

Hoow do I go to my thread ? How do I find my forum ? Howdo I go to the page I am typing?

I take it those hinged side doors didn't last too long? Presumably a carry-over from the J4 vans but at least they saw fit to (eventually) introduce a slidey side door later on, something Ford never did with the Transit until the Mk3.

Here's an image I came across a while back; look how clean a design the early base model BX is. Wonderful!

However, it seems that Moto-Scat Deux doesn't automatically reduce images so the one above is a somewhat blurred version. Full size sharp version here:

I find with that BX photo that the plainness of the wheels helps me see the angularity of the styling. The snazzy models with silly wheels (and bodykits?) loose something as a whole.

Anyway, in honour of this new* thread have a satellite I posted in the scat chat the other day.

I'm guessing that that was taken not in the USSR but was using their space success to spread the political word? Italy maybe?

I did look in to that, and I'm bummed if I can work out how, or how it worked on the old site. I did try though, so that's basically the same as doing it, right?

Having read an article about this yesterday I sought out a photo on-line to share, and figured this was the best place for it.
