New Spotz!

Parliament Square Rootes.

Image

Then a 2CV moments later near Trafalgar Sq.

Image

This looks reasonably unmolested.

Image

H is for Hippy. Or possibly 'Have a mobile tattoo parlour'

Image

Just before Christmas I saw this by Old Bond Street. It had a very optimistic price tag on an advert in the window, obviously hoping to attract a member of the wealthier classes who shop down there and don't know the value of things.

Image

SMARTLINE

Image

This blurry R5 is battered on pretty much every panel, so a joy to see parked in Hampstead 'village'

Image

Can never resist a shot of this on the occasions I amble past.

Image

That was the end of 2013, so into a new folder of 2014 spots, starting with this one, which is all out of kilter as the driver started havign a go at me and wanting to know why I was taking a photo of his car.

Image

This Honda is gr8.

Image

A visit to DAVE to MOT the Hillman, he showed me the current state of play of his unwashed daily driver.

Image

Wonderful to see that the old garage site on Store Street, which was under threat of complete demolishing ad turning into flats, has retained most of the original brickwork and a nice nod to its former purpose.

Image

This nice, not filer'd up earlyish Shadow was parked just up from there.

Image

Yeah, now this is a winner-mobile, a recent arrival to the area.

Image

And finally for now, another Rootes Chrysler car as seen this morning.

Excellent selection.
I bet The Shed is a bit of a giggle now with the Alfa unit in it.

I've never seen that Store Street place before - will have to have a nose as it's only 2 blocks down from my homeward bound route.

I 'spotted' the garage back in 2008 when it was still alive, then I think I also took a photo when it closed down and was seemingly doomed a year or two back.

Image

Looking at that now they've not kept as much as I thought but what they've done is better than complete destruction.

So... that guy drives an out-of-the-ordinary car and gets annoyed if someone photographs it. What exactly did he expect to happen?

Image

Clerkenwell delivery.

Image

Image

Quite an apt number plate.

Image

Prefer this Merc though.

Image

I swung by this local house to see if the chod was still bothering.

Image

Image

There's actually only one lane at these lights unless you're a balding middle aged man playing loud music to impress the ladeez in your Bug.

Image

No, not the Porsche! Someone with taste was cremated at Hoop Lane that day.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Goodwood FoS car park Porsche with all the add ons.

Image

Suprise capture of a banger rally.

The XJS was actually pretty cool and sounded brill.

Good work.

I believe the Chrysler Sunbeam is the one recently featured in Mrs_Brunel's telly favourite 'New Tricks' (in which it was erroneously described as a 1998 car by 'Memory' Lane). Registration is not far off my old Maxi (CPE 999T)

Has the big red wagon thing gone downhill quickly? I don't seen to recall it being WOBBLY when we looked at it the previous year at Stoneleigh?

Last pic caused actual LOL.

More scat seen out and about through the end of 2014 and into 2015.

Very pleased to see this building, which was a car park originally and had latterly been used by a car hire firm, now restored (or at least the frontage retained). It is now a posh looking hotel with appropriate posh cars.

Image

I think you've seen this before but it still raises a smile.

Image

BAM. Antiquarian Horology tat fair attracts old cars.

Image

Image

This P6 was spewing out a smokescreen. The man seemed to intentionally not look over at my ruined non-classic.

Image

Greenwich.

Image

Greenwich 2. I would have bought a tree from this seller if I was into trees.

Image

Bloomsbury Saab

Image

Camden Rover.

Image

Belsize Park Lotus.

Image

Local Triumph!

Image

Right into 2015 now.

An excellent way to start the new year with a pair of Wolseleys.

Stamford Hill-NOT VOLVO ESTATE

Image

This Farina was in the car park of a pub where I used to occasionally go for local area A35 club meets.

Image

Excellent photography skills showing through.

Image

Finchley Jensen

Image

Mayfair Renault 4

Image

Clerkenwell Chevy

Image

I wondered if Amazo might know this E21. Then I realised I knew this E21.

Image

Proper cool ratty BMW. There was a Mk2 golf in the next door garage undergoing works.

Image

And to finish a proper CPT. I think I know what it is...

Stumped on the CPT.
Front looks Chevettey, but the back is too pointy. Or is that an illusion caused by the tarp?

Hmm, well I hadn't considered Chevette and I suppose perhaps it was but my initial feeling on seeing it was more Italianate.

Edit: Having looked google images of cars with that type of wheel I think you are disappointingly correct.
