Tone's selection of mediocre spots

Nothing truly exciting, but plenty I found interesting, at the time. I'd favour quality over quantity but quantity is all I've got.

Starting in Durham, this Charade Saloon that I thought was an Applause got me all hot and bothered for some reason

Back in sunny Sheffield, there's a bloke down the road who is clearly a hero, there's always something odd parked outside his gaff, but he's also always in and I'm frightened of upsetting him so these are a bit stealth

VISIT NEWBURN HALL MOTOR MUSEM
(if you're passing)

http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1986711

Founded and run by a bloke called Tony Pirelli (who used to be a stunt man in his day) until he passed away a couple of years ago, and now his Widow and a family friend run the place. It's ace. Family friend will take you round and show you stuff, and generally be amiable. Prices online say it's £2 for adults and £1 for kids, but it cost us £8 (2 adults and the bairn) so I'm not sure what they've gone up too, but they've gone up. It's an old army place of some sorts, with a hall at the back which has a few cars in. Ace though.

"total loss" oil system on an old Standard (which featured in Supergran, apparently). The oil is pumped up onto that rocker shaft, and then just drains down onto the road. When it get's low, the back pressure blows a little whistle to alert you to stop and re-fill the sump. I had a capri that did that, but without the whistle.

Ace workshop left pretty much as it was when the owner died. I somehow failed to take a picture of a bookshelf out of shot, which was just stacked with new-old stock oil filters and brake shoes and stuff. I'm going to have to go back one day and do it properly. (in fairness the bairn and ms_tone were getting muttery by this point)

A lot of the cars are still taxed and run. 8-)

Great pics TdP.
That museum looks pretty good. Like a tidy version of the Stondon Scat museum.

Thoughts on the outdoors spots: Obviously the old rear-engine Renaults are pretty tasty / unusual. And obviously I am drawn to the 'series' LR. The bull-bar'd Espace is a genuine WTF. And I have heard very good things about those sporty Proton things, lots of bang for buck. But those exposed rivets on the bodykit? I'd have to get some wob on them!

Edit: Stating the obvious - they're just moulded like that

I loved my Impian, it was bizarrely fab to drive.

Good selection there. I particularly like the yellow Mk1 Fezza as it hails form my neck of the woods and would have been supplied by Crystal Ford of Hull or Beverley. Was it a long way from its origin?

That museum does look great. How mabny of those Black Princes were built? 20? 50? Amazing to see two in the same place. I think the bronze Princess is my favourite of the 'normal' spots, that's the sort of thing I never see anymore down here.
Hoow do I go to my thread ? How do I find my forum ? Howdo I go to the page I am typing?

Nah, ASDA in Sheffield. Not far at all.

17, apparently. They were absolutely fab. Other-worldly, like they'd come straight off the set of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, or something. howmanyleft.co.uk auto-corrects to Invacar, no matter what you do. Bless it.

Good lord, is it 2015 already?

Well ok then. So, I went to Malta for a long weekend and there were loads of interesting cars I didn't take pictures of. But here's the few I did:

Screeched to a halt on a bend to take a picture of the village primary schoolthis lovely red renner:
