Phwoar, I'm not into Vauxhalls really but this was smart.

Appropriate head gear.

Image

Nice to see the Vanguard woody still going strong, with a Ute friend.

Your one stop car hire shop.

Image

Yeah, you've already seen it but here's that HA pick up again.

Image

Here's a general overview from up the top near the cricket pitch (on which blokes in white were playing cricket)

The odd couple.

Image

Only just realised how black those bumpers are.

Nice steering wheel.

Early Gilbern is lovely, boyo

Image

IKB spec estate was nicely unrestored.

Image

Julio Balmez edition. I've known the bloke for years so was good to catch up. There was an early series Rapier at the show with Mille Miglia entry stickers etc on it. He was pretty amazed as it would have cost about as much as that is worth to enter. 7k or thereabouts for three days driving on public roads. Ouch!

Image

Trojan confounds.

Image

Three box family transport, for richer or for poorer.

Image

I overheard the owner of this Bristol telling someone he'd had it for 50 years, cost him a pretty packet in 1962.

Simca poses for period shot of the day (yellow lines not withstanding)

More in a bit/tomorrow.

Image

Useful dash reminder in case you forgot what you were being driven in.

Image

This may be the '02 I saw by the houses of Parliament a couple of months ago but I've not checked yet.

Image

Hmmm, those shoes and slacks look comfortable.

Image

Outa my way!

Ugly ducklings.

This one to demonstrate Mr. Barrett's likely position for the next few weeks/months/years.

Aye they are lovely pics, I like the nice depth of field going on. I think I've asked you before but what lens do you use?

The wider angle shots are taken with a 17-50 F2.8 Tamron lens but then I swapped to my 70-200 F4L Canon lens later on - from the 'comfortable slacks' photo on in the selection above. I normally shoot at about F4 on the Tamron though as otherwise I think the depth of field is too shallow for a whole car photo.

Going to have to consider coming to this next year, it'd be a fairly pleasant afternoon journey across from EA.

Excellent pics Sethsbury. As mentioned several times I am really annoyed we couldn't make it over but it's just made me even more determined to get over there next year, hopefully behind the wheel of my own POINTY car...
Hoow do I go to my thread ? How do I find my forum ? Howdo I go to the page I am typing?
