Original London plate on that. Just needs some Microcell seats and less anodised/braided hose under the bonnet. 8-)
Not Always Auto

Rootes built Cortinas under licence and just changed the badging.

4x4 and LPG! I would like to buy this to troll Richard off of here, he likes LPG but hates Mazda 626s, especially this style I think.

The list of problems became long very quickly.
Rear Shocks (self levelling) leaking.
Self levelling bias valve leaking.
leaking windscreen and sunroof. Stained both interior and dash
Poor electrics
Fan
statrter
speedo
lights and speedo still in LHD set up...
...I used it till its MOT ran out but there is still a list of jobs to do.
front wishbones
PAS pump seals
Aircon pump has seized ( Petrol pump will not fit) but heating system still works
Replace a faulty rear shock (have replacement)
Brake fade (poss need new Master cylinder)
Sort out white smoke on start up.
Speedo does not work, think it is drive inside gearbox, but i used my satnav .

The reason I am selling it is i have lost my enthusiasm for the car

Not surprising. I'd love it however.

I LUV 2 WELD IT WELD IT

I'm going to make a suggestion, how about moving the Ebay treasures thread to the main forum? It might help to maintain a bit of 'traffic' in there. Feel free to tell me to take my idea and 'ram it' of course

I WAS DRIVING ALONG ROAD AND CAR JUST STOPPED,
IT WOULD STILL TURN OVER AND SOUNDED NORMAL, JUST WOULD NOT FIRE.

I HAVE TAKEN IT TO MY LOCAL GARAGE AND THEY SAID IT COULD BE ECU OR A BROKEN WIRE IN LOOM.

I THEN TOOK IT TO A FORD DEALER THEY SAID IT WAS INJECTOR PRESSURE PROBLEMS,

I THEN TOOK IT TO A LOCAL DIESEL GARAGE AND THEY SAID ITS A PUMP PROBLEM

Brilliant innit, I bey they would all have been happy to take hundreds of pounds off you to diagnose it by trial and error.
