It's good to see that Hotchkiss on the 'bay. It's one of the Freddie Cunningham collection I think, and the chap who bought it at that auction only wanted to banger race it (whilst it's upsetting to think of the Farinas and P5 Rovers etc getting raced, you have to seriously be some kind of subhuman to race something like the Hotchkiss). Clearly he's had a change of heart, which is nice.
Hoow do I go to my thread ? How do I find my forum ? Howdo I go to the page I am typing?

Scat rescue services, make one million pounds a week picking up scrap cars/been from top of Scotland to south of Spain in one hit/never stopped/used 27p worth of diesel/MOT exempt etc.

Three large for a chequer plate and wood bodied old plodder seems mental to me. Only ever tried driving one of these once, painfully slow and you need eleven hands and a prayer book to change gear.

haha, those old Mercs are a totally joyless driving experience.
When I started work in the mid-90's the parcel firm I worked at had a fleet of them.
Knack was to stop facing down a slight incline so you could set off in second and avoid the worst vaguaries of the dog-leg box.
65mph was pretty much flat out and when the Sprinters arrived it was a quantum leap in terms of driveability.

I nearly killed myself in a desperate attempt to find a gear at an M53 roundabout in mine. Straight back to the depot (about 5 miles) and told the boss I wasn't driving it again. He won because I ended up with a Mk2 petrol Transit that was completely knackered and got driven at 30mph to Altrincham (stopping every ten miles to top up the water) and swapped for an even worse Iveco. I managed to miss the gaffer's brand new Senator by about 1.3 mm as no-one had told me about cold starts and it could only be stopped by stalling it. About three weeks later the bonnet flew up and I nearly crashed and then I spotted the three bald tyres. Not clever when you worked for a tyre company.

Right, enough of that. Anyone fancy not copping some leg over on your honeymoon? I'd imagine a trip to the church in this will see the 'not tonight I've got a headache and bad back' routine wheeled out before you even get hitched.

To be fair to the bint in the picture I'd probably give her one. Once she'd finished the dishes of course.

Predictably enough there were quite a few hi-viz/rigger boot combos being sported at that auction.

My brother had one of these Sciroccos in the early '90s, as long as it's not terminally rusty they're quite a pleasant way to travel
