Right, now what am I going to do about this?

As you know my WANTON SHERPA LUST is STRONG.
When's the next time something as lovely as this is likely to come along??
But I'm not keen on the flat-bed body - not terribly useful, reckon it would be much work to convert to drop-side?

There's a lot of 'tray trucks' out here, mostly sporting bad wheel combos and with a couple of motocross bikes/hunting dogs/both tied down to the back. Can't really see the use of them myself but then many people stick hinged sides on them, with a bit of upright angle iron to connect the sides together, so a good basis for a much more practical pick-up.

Don't wish to piss on your chips but is that not a little salty for a Sherpa? Had it been a 'genuine' pick-up with the integrated body (known as a wellside over here), I reckon it'd be a good buy but there's an element of it being home made from an expired motor home or something. Reckon it could be made to look a lot more period, though.

It's maybe a little rich.. maybe get them down to say £1500 or so... that would be a decent enough price for a 50k classic you could show as well as being a really useful thing as well. I mean, they really don't come along very often at all now, not this tidy.
Also, I think dropside > 'wellside' : less to rot/repair!!

I love the 'foot windows' in those FG's, useful for allowing officials to check the driver's rigger boots/moccasins (delete as appropriate) while manoeuvring
