Moto-scat: Mode d'emploi

What is Moto-Scat?

Moto-Scat is dedicated to the celebration of motor vehicles that would be conventionally regarded as ‘rubbish’.
Whilst this concept is subject to a certain degree of interpretation, it should be noted that the context of ‘rubbish’ here does not necessarily equate to cheap.

Rubbish is INTERESTING.
Interesting due to obscurity, poor design, cynical or lazy marketing or an exceptional rate of attrition.
Interesting by means of rarity or exclusivity, of exceptional engineering on the part of the designer or owners.
Interesting due the vehicles’ dogged survival in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.
It’s a case of ‘anything goes’, if it has an engine and wheels... but it must be INTERESTING.
What does and does not constitute the arbitrary definition of interesting ultimately rests with the site administrators.
Vehicles do not become instantly interesting at an age or date.
It is a process, an evolution.

Moto-Scat is not a club, society or democracy.
The administrators retain the right to edit content, moderate users or publicly ridicule non-compliance with the Mode d'emploi as they see fit.
There will be no newsletter, no AGM, no charity rallies and no ‘dress up like a pirate’ events.
There will be no off-topic area or 1000 page thread of whinging. Ever.
Moto-Scat is exclusively for discussion of interesting / rubbish vehicles and the culture that surrounds them.
Moto-Scat is not interested in your existence, work, family or general woes beyond the subject matter.

Quality not quantity
When contributing to Moto-Scat, please cite all relevant sources for text, facts and photographs, and wherever possible add scope for further reading for other users.
Self-captured photography should where possible be of high quality in terms of resolution, layout and content.
Contributors are requested to carefully consider if their photographs and subjects are interesting, relevant and of in keeping with the ethos of Moto-Scat prior to submission to the site.

Good humour, dry wit and irony are encouraged.
Dullness and oafishness are discouraged.
Contributors are expected to know the difference.

The administrators reserve the right to pedantry in all aspects of spelling, grammar and punctuation on the part of contributors.

An Clarification:
Moto-Scat has nothing whatsoever to do with poo fetishes.
Or improvised vocal Jazz.

We are all here to indulge in a common passion, so above all Enjoy Moto-Scat.
